The Opportunity This role will form part of the operations team, therefore is a rare opportunity to be able to drive change and steer the direction of the company. As Maintenance Supervisor, you will be reporting to the Laboratory Manager first, and the Engineering Manager while supervising an experience team of /-5 Field Maintenance Tradespersons. Your challenges: Achieve cultural, and procedural changes within an existing established team. Review and improve on existing preventative maintenance schedules including implementing and utilising maintenance planning systems. Conduct root cause analysis to identify "root causes" of problems or events and an approach for responding to them. Making continuous improvements - including equipment automation and improved efficiency. Your responsibilities: Working closely with Production staff and shift supervisors to coordinate breakdown and preventative maintenance activities. Budget Control and raising orders while liaising with contractors and suppliers Collaborating with the Engineering team to help deliver practical solutions and turn continuous improvement ideas into a reality. Occasional interstate & international travel as may be required from time to time Your outcomes: Increase communication and collaboration between the Maintenance, Production, and Engineering teams. Effective Planning and Time Management Increase production quality and quantity, reduce downtime and waste New and more efficient equipment implemented into operations. Qualifications Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical or equivalent Highly regarded experience Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, Continuous Improvement methodologies, and their implementation Experience in R&D and manufacturing environments Familiarity with Microsoft Packages, 3D CAD Drawings, and 3D Printing Understanding of PLC controlled equipment, Automation, and Robotics highly regarded Experience with teams and strong communications skills
