Realise your potential at yourtown your opportunity We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic Youth Worker to join the Get Back in the Game program in Campbelltown NSW . You will work with young people (aged 15-21) using a client centered, strengths-based approach in helping them work through their non-vocational challenges to employment and support them to overcome complex barriers. As part of a support team, you will provide tailored, individualised support with the end goal of achieving sustainable employment, education and/or training outcomes. Your days will be diverse but in essence, can include; • undertaking individual assessments and providing referrals to specialist assistance services • working in collaboration with the young person to set goals to address non-vocational barriers • case conferencing with the senior pathways coach and employment mentor to ensure a unified approach • challenging the status quo and advocating for the young person • developing and delivering group activities and workshops to help build vocational and non-vocational skills, life skills and work readiness for young people • partnering and networking with community organisations, key labour hire, local employers, schools, and training organisations including NSW Tafe to create and secure opportunities for employment, education, or training. what we are looking for You believe that optimism is infectious, and that with energy & dedication – anything is possible.
