About the Role This position coordinates graffiti diversion and street art engagement projects within the TCCS Graffiti Management Program. Key responsibilities include: Delivering authorised street art and graffiti commissions, workshops, and events. Supporting the graffiti removal volunteer program and the legal graffiti wall program. Progressing the ACT Graffiti Management Strategy and related policy documents. Preparing briefs and other written materials. Working with Communications and Engagement staff to share project updates and news, including occasional media interaction (radio, TV, social media, newspapers). About You The ideal candidate will have experience or interest in community engagement, placemaking, urban design/renewal, or arts curation. Strong oral and written communication skills are essential, including conflict resolution and negotiation abilities. Day-to-day, you will engage with street artists, graffiti writers, volunteers, contractors, ACT Government staff, community groups, industry representatives, and researchers. This role does not manage staff but works closely with colleagues and stakeholders. Effective contractor engagement is critical. Some travel across the city may be required for site visits and community engagement. Eligibility/Other Requirements: Qualifications or experience relevant to community development, community engagement, social sciences, place-making, urban design/ management, human geography, or arts curation. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite package. Prior to commencing this role, a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required. Notes: This is a temporary position available immediately until 20 November 2025 with the possibility of extension up to 12 months and/or permanency.
