The Principal Investigator conducts investigations into the most serious, systemic, and sensitive cases of improper conduct under the ICAC Act. The role exercises statutory powers to gather evidence, interview witnesses, and report findings while providing mentoring and technical expertise to strengthen the Operations teamâs investigative capability. The Senior Operations Officer has a pivotal role in progressing activities in the combined Assessment and Investigation functions of the unit. The role is responsible for ensuring the timely, thorough and accurate assessment of reports of improper conduct received into the unit as well as the investigation of the most complex and sensitive allegations of improper conduct in accordance with the statutory obligations of the ICAC Act. Selection will be made at the AO7 or SAO1 level depending on the experience/qualifications of the successful applicant.
