The opportunity We are now inviting applications for the opportunity of Senior Product Owner for Government Technology Platforms, within Digital NSW as it transforms to become the state's trusted partner to enable accessible and secure digital platforms and services for the citizens and business of NSW. In this role you will be accountable for effective end to end management of digital products, including taking products from strategy, through to initial idea, implementation, support and continuous improvement to meet Organisational and NSW Government objectives. Day to day responsibilities: Manage and prioritise the product backlog to ensure alignment with business objectives and user needs, focusing on delivering maximum value. Plan and organise sprints, working with cross-functional teams to set goals, define timelines, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality increments. Refine and write clear, actionable user stories, collaborating with stakeholders and the development team to clarify requirements. Conduct customer research, gather feedback, and analyse trends to inform product decisions and ensure the product meets user needs. Lead and collaborate with the Agile development team, facilitating stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, while driving continuous improvement. What you will bring to this role Demonstrated experience in managing product streams by defining and executing product vision, validating features, resolving issues, and prioritising inputs to support decision-making Demonstrated experience in managing product roadmaps based on customer insights to define user stories, acceptance criteria, and success metrics, ensuring customer-centric design and delivery. Experience in conducting research and stakeholder consultations to identify product enhancements and assess market trends, driving innovative ideas for high-performance product development and roadmaps Experience in developing and managing stakeholder relationships through effective communication, expectation management, and negotiation to ensure successful product and service delivery and achieve desired outcomes Experience in conducting analysis to identify issues and risks, recommending solutions, and escalating matters to ensure understanding and resolution.
