Click here for the Position Description Applications are invited and will be considered until the position is successfully filled Skills And Experiences We’re looking for a skilled and forward-thinking professional who brings a strong mix of technical expertise, leadership, and collaboration to the role. Ideally, you will have: A qualification in Civil Engineering, Asset Management, Building & Construction , or a related field — or a recognised certificate in Asset Management Planning with solid experience in a leadership or coordination role. Experience in developing and delivering asset management plans , improving business processes, and using systems that connect data to lift performance. Strong background in asset valuation, condition assessments , and setting up preventative maintenance plans . Knowledge of risk management practices relevant to local government infrastructure and services. Experience managing municipal assets (roads, paths, buildings, drainage), with the ability to apply legislation, standards, and policies, plus confidence using asset management software . Good computer skills, including experience with GIS and spatial data. An understanding of design, budgeting, cost control, tendering, and contract management for civil works. Excellent communication and people skills , with the ability to work well with different teams and stakeholders. Experience preparing Statements of Works (SOWs) and budgets for maintenance programs, capital works, and long-term planning. The ability to work independently and in a team , while staying organised and meeting deadlines. A strong understanding of workplace health and safety requirements , ensuring safe work practices and compliance from contractors.
