Royal International Commerce Pty Ltd (ABN 68605424851), a leading importer and distributor of fresh European and international food, is seeking a Supply Chain Analyst for a full-time, permanent position. Royal focuses on B2B relationships, supplying major Australian retailers and leading food distributors. Its product range includes over 100 cheeses, numerous types of smallgoods, and a variety of gourmet items imported from across Europe (including Italy, France, Spain, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and The Netherlands) as well as, more recently, North America. In Australia, operating from its warehouse in Matraville and without significant owned assets, Royal has been supplying for 10 years directly to the country’s major national retailers, including Woolworths, Coles, Aldi, Costco, Harris Farm, and many others. Thanks to a highly efficient distribution strategy, Royal’s imported fresh food products reach over 2,500 stores nationwide. The Business and Systems Analyst will play a key role in leading, developing, managing, coordinating, and implementing the maintenance and continuous improvement of system plans, documentation, reporting, procedures, and process analysis across all operational tasks performed by Royal. The scope of this role is broad and complex, covering coordination with a wide range of overseas suppliers, management of multiple incoming shipments with daily fluctuations in timelines, handling of diverse product types, from fixed-weight to random-weight items, oversight of product transformations, support for deliveries across Australia to clients who operate on various ordering and inventory systems The ideal candidate will engage professionally with external stakeholders, including software developers, national account managers, interstate transport providers, freight forwarders, third-party warehouses, and distribution hubs, as well as with internal departments across the company. Core objectives include: · Collaborating closely with internal users and operational teams to gather, define, and document specific business requirements tailored to Royal's integrated workflow. · Observing and analysing existing business processes, procedures, and day-to-day practices across departments to identify improvement opportunities. · Highlighting operational inefficiencies and recommending optimised business processes, enhanced system functionalities, and workflow improvements aligned with Royal’s operational model. · Applying structured project management methodologies to plan, cost, resource, and execute process improvement and system enhancement initiatives. · Leading the implementation of functional solutions by creating, coordinating, and executing system test plans to ensure high standards of quality, reliability, and process integrity. · Preparing user guides, operational manuals, and delivering structured training sessions to support smooth adoption of systems and processes across teams. · Translating business needs into clear and detailed functional specifications for system developers and technical teams. · Utilising data analysis and process modelling to develop accurate system specifications for software enhancements, integration, or new tool development. · Acting as a central point of contact and reference within projects, offering expertise, support, and guidance to facilitate sound decision-making throughout the system lifecycle. · Working closely with developers and end-users to design and enhance the functionality of Royal’s internal platforms, tools, and web-based systems, ensuring all solutions are grounded in clearly documented business needs and user requirements. · Evaluating processes and methods used in existing ICT systems and proposing modifications, additional components, or new systems to better meet user needs as outlined in requirements and supporting documentation. Required qualities · Minimum of 1 years’ experience in a role directly involved in logistics, distribution, or supply chain operations. · Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a clear “hands-on”, proactive approach. · A results-driven mindset with a focus on improving company outcomes while achieving personal and team objectives. · Degree in Enterprise Management Systems (preferred) or a related qualification. · Solid understanding of European food culture, particularly in cheese, smallgoods, and gourmet products. · Detail-oriented, curious, precise, and professional in conduct. · Proficient in written and spoken English. · Fluency in at least one additional language: Italian, Spanish, or French. Experience working with ERP systems (preferably NetSuite).
