Flourish Australia is seeking an authentic, compassionate Peer Worker or Mental Health Worker to join our team delivering the Commonwealth Psychosocial Support (CPS) Program. This structured, recovery-oriented role is ideal for professionals committed to walking alongside people with psychosocial challenges—supporting them to build capacity, strengthen community connections, and live independently. The position available is: Full-time (76 hours/fortnight) Working in your local community in Rockhampton Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm Attractive hourly rates equivalent to $38.65-$41.45/hour Super Salary Packaging! About the Opportunity As a Peer Worker or Mental Health Worker with Flourish Australia , you will support people accessing our services who have a lived experience of mental health issues to achieve their hopes and dreams. You will play an important part in assisting people to maintain wellness and realise their goals. On a day to day basis you will: Deliver structured, time-limited, and goal-oriented support in line with CPS national guidelines, focused on improving daily functioning and achieving recovery goals. Collaborate with participants to co-design and implement individual recovery plans based on their strengths, needs, and aspirations. Conduct assessments, monitor progress, and adapt supports as needed. Co-facilitate group programs that promote recovery, social connection, skill-building, and personal development. Provide capacity building support across key life domains including housing, employment, education, physical health, and social engagement. Connect participants with mainstream and community services to foster long-term independence.
