Job Description As the Maintenance Technician you will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day maintenance operations of the Engineering Team, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently to maintain the property and hotel operations at peak performance. The role involves hands-on execution of duties related to the repair and upkeep of the property's plant, equipment, and machinery, including mechanical, hydraulic, and other systems. THE ROLE This is an autonomous role, overseeing all hotel maintenance & technical issues during the evenings. Consistently provide exceptional service. Support colleagues across various departments and teams to ensure a seamless guest experience. Maintain fixtures and fittings in public areas and guest rooms, ensuring the hotel is kept to the highest standards of presentation and functionality. Carry out general room and preventative maintenance inspections with a focus on enhancing the guest experience and maintaining our commitment to excellence. Utilise the Maintenance Request System and liaise with Engineering team and other Departments on requirements of jobs and tasks whilst ensuring tasks are completed within adequate timeframes. THE REQUIREMENTS Previous experience working in hotel or resort settings is advantageous. Experience in operating a variety of equipment, including small hand tools. Trade qualification highly desirable. Demonstrated experience in general building maintenance, engineering and/or construction. Ability to work a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays as required. Must have valid Australian Working Rights.
