Food Production Assistants (Day Shift - Forklift Licence Required) Location: Altona VIC Shift: Day Shift - 6:00 AM to 2:15 PM We are seeking reliable and experienced Food Production Assistants with forklift experience to join a well-established food manufacturing facility in Altona. This site plays a key role in producing a wide range of products including flours, bakery mixes, starches, and oils for both domestic and export markets. This role is suited to candidates who enjoy hands-on production work , can communicate clearly with their team, and are committed to working safely and efficiently. Ongoing opportunities in a supportive and professional environment. Key Responsibilities Operate machinery to feed raw materials into the production process. Carry out manual handling tasks, including lifting products up to 20kg. Stack, wrap, and move finished goods onto pallets. Assist with pre-mix line operations and other production duties as required. Operate forklifts to transport pallets and materials (approx. 20% of role). Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues to maintain safe and productive workflow. Follow all workplace safety procedures and company policies. Requirements Current LF forklift licence with at least 2 years of practical experience. Proven ability to perform repetitive heavy lifting safely. Strong commitment to safety, quality standards, and team collaboration. Good communication skills and basic numeric ability. Reliable, punctual, and able to work well within a team environment. Full working rights in Australia. Willingness to undergo pre-employment checks including police clearance, medical assessment, and drug & alcohol testing.
