About the role We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate financial statements, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and maintaining effective accounting systems. You will provide financial and taxation advice, oversee audits, and assist management with strategic financial planning and reporting. The position also involves analysing organisational costs, managing budgets, and liaising with financial institutions to support the business’s growth and stability. Role and Responsibilities • Prepare financial statements for presentation to directors, management, shareholders, and statutory or governing bodies. • Ensure the accuracy of financial reports and confirm compliance with statutory and regulatory obligations. • Implement and maintain accounting systems, providing advice on the selection and use of computer-based accounting applications. • Establish and maintain effective internal control systems. • Review and analyse operating costs, organisational income, and expenditure. • Assist in developing and implementing accounting policies and budgetary frameworks. • Prepare and lodge taxation returns for the organisation. • Provide taxation and financial advice on business structures, operational plans, and long-term strategies. • Conduct financial investigations, prepare reports, undertake audits, and advise on business acquisitions, sales, mergers, capital raising, suspected fraud, insolvency, and taxation issues. • Liaise with banks, brokers, and financial institutions to arrange and manage funding and investment facilities. • Assess cash flow forecasts and evaluate financial risks of capital investment projects. • Deliver services relating to compliance-based financial reporting, auditing, insolvency, and accounting information systems, while advising on record-keeping requirements. Skills and experience • must have an experience of more than 1 year working as an Accountant. • Applicant must have Bachelor or higher qualification in the related field. • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow the procedures accurately. • Excellent time management skills to meet the deadlines. • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
