Our client is seeking an Infrastructure Architect to shape the future state of global platforms through Azure-first design, data centre migrations, and network modernisation. This role focuses on defining target architectures and guiding delivery teams to achieve secure, scalable, and cost-efficient outcomes. Responsibilities: Define target-state infrastructure roadmaps and guide delivery teams through transition; Provide reference architectures, standards, and pragmatic advice grounded in Microsoft’s Well-Architected Framework; Influence and challenge technical proposals, ensuring balance between innovation, performance, cost, and security; Work closely with infrastructure, security, architects, IT directors, and product owners to align business needs with technical outcomes; Contribute to cloud security posture in partnership with the security architecture team; and Support multiple projects concurrently, ensuring architecture decisions are consistent and strategic. Shape architectural direction for: Cloud-first infrastructure (predominantly Azure, with awareness of AWS/GCP); Data centre migrations and consolidation; Network modernisation; and AI and data platform enablement. Requirements: 3 years in Infrastructure architecture roles within complex enterprise environments; Strong background in both on-premises and cloud (Azure IaaS/PaaS/SaaS; landing zones); Understanding of networking, virtualisation, and containerisation; Familiarity with architectural frameworks; ability to apply practices such as the Microsoft Well-Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification valued but not mandatory; and Ability to influence senior stakeholders, delivery teams, and vendors across multiple regions.
