Test Analysts Opportunity to work within a small Government Department with a friendly team environment. The Canberra office is located within walking distance of a large shopping center and excellent coffee shops! Hybrid opportunity based in Canberra 12 month contract starting September 2025 Australian Citizens with active Government Baseline or higher security clearance Responsible for analysing and testing new and existing IT systems to support business operations, using appropriate standards, methodologies, and toolsets. Conduct various forms of testing, including system, software, and automation. Duties: Actively and effectively communicate with a wide range of technical and non-technical stakeholders to reach optimal development outcomes with attention to detail and end users in mind Provide both oversight, direction and updates to the Test Manager to accurately articulate the state of milestones and deliverables Prepare, document and trace test scenarios from user stories, use cases and technical requirements so they are applicable and measurable within our existing methodology Detect, track and monitor software defects from inception to closure, with a focus for time management Actively support the Test Manager with contributions to improve processes and product quality. Skills Required: Experience of functional and non-functional testing for web and data application Strong problem solving skills and the ability to navigate complex database relationships Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to work duties Ability to manage own time effectively to meet project, team and organisational needs High-level analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to widen discussion, identify issues or suggest solutions Experience with various testing techniques including technical and non-technical test scripts Role particulars: Submission due: 10am Tuesday 2nd September 2025 Duration: 09/2025 - 09/2026 Extension/s: No extension option Security clearance: Active Baseline clearance or higher is essential Location: Canberra, A.C.T Working arrangements: Hybrid opportunity, minimum of 2 days per week in Canberra office.
