We are seeking a dynamic, creative and career focused individual to join our culinary team on full time basis. This position provides a great opportunity for a chef looking to develop their skills further. You will ensure tasks assigned are carried out in a timely fashion, to a high standard and within food hygiene guidelines. Main Duties Planning menus, estimating food and kitchen labor costs and ordering food supplies Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation Discussing food preparation issues with director, Dietitians and kitchen and waiting staff Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures to other kitchen staff when necessary Preparing and cooking food according to menu Explaining and enforcing hygiene regulations Provide necessary assistance for selecting and train kitchen staff Freeze and preserve food when necessary To be successful in this role you will have to : Maintains a guest focus while performing duties Responsibility for quality of products served. Graciously and quickly fulfill any guest request possible Complete opening and closing checklists. Daily Preparation List at the start of each shift for assigned duties.
