Job Description About the Opportunity Located within the Provost portfolio, the newly established Online Strategy Unit will drive the creation and implementation of a transformative vision for online education programming through strategic leadership and oversight of the growth and expansion of the University’s online learning programs. Building on Griffith’s already well-recognised synchronous and hybrid online offerings, the Unit will develop a suite of degrees in partnership with all Academic Groups for delivery in a cutting edge, high quality, technology-enabled and student-focused learning design model. We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and professional Quality Assurance Manager to lead quality management and support across our portfolio of On demand programs and courses. In this pivotal role, you will drive the development and execution of a comprehensive quality assurance strategy, ensuring high standards are met throughout the design, delivery, and review phases. As the primary point of contact for quality and compliance matters within the Online Strategy Unit (OSU), you will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the integrity of our learning and teaching practices. Key Responsibilities Lead the coordination, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of a comprehensive Quality Management System, ensuring alignment with university policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. Champion inclusive education by supporting adherence to Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles in all OSU course design activities. Ensure courses and programs align with established adult learning and pedagogical standards outlined in the OSU Design Framework. Drive innovation and continuous improvement across the OSU, enhancing the student learning and assessment experience through evidence-based strategies and stakeholder engagement. Oversee regular course and program maintenance activities, including the scheduling and delivery of long-term review cycles. Support risk management processes to ensure compliance with university and regulatory frameworks. Use data-driven approaches to monitor and evaluate course and program delivery, identifying improvement opportunities and ensuring quality standards are upheld. Prepare and deliver regular quality assurance reports, providing actionable insights to improve program delivery and the overall student experience. Collaborate closely with stakeholders across the OSU on quality assurance initiatives, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Assist in the preparation and coordination of regulatory audits, particularly for OSU pilots and innovations, ensuring compliance and audit readiness. Contribute to other tasks and initiatives as required, in alignment with the objectives of the work unit and the expectations of the role. About you Bachelor degree in a related field, or other tertiary qualification in combination with relevant industry experience in quality assurance and in learning design (in the context of higher education sector), and comprehensive knowledge of Quality Assurance Candidates must have full unrestricted Australian work rights and may be subject to a National criminal history check. HEW 8 Salary – base range is $113,713.03 - $127,923.91 17% super. Full package range - $133,044.25 - $149,670.98.
