The Executive Director, Legal, Performance and Engagement leads the Legal, Performance and Engagement Branch and is one of six Executive Directors reporting to the agency head. The key duties of the position include As a member of the Executive Committee and Operational Performance Committee, assist with setting the strategic direction of the Commission. Lead the Commission's Legal Services and Legal Counsel functions to reduce operational legal and other risks and provide high quality, strategic and timely legal advice to the agency head, Executive group and staff. Lead the Commission's work to ensure its legislative and operational commitments are met, including the provision of statutory and performance reports. Proactively analyse and maintain awareness of political and government priorities and lead the Commission's contribution to new policy proposals, parliamentary enquiries and Committee processes, Government correspondence, briefing and reviews and coordinate the implementation of any government reforms. Shape the Branch's strategic direction, develop plans and provide leadership to support key objectives, in accordance with best practice standards legislative/parliamentary requirements. Drive changes that improve efficiency and organisational performance in an evolving authorising environment through oversight of the Commission's performance reporting framework, including influencing national performance through oversight of business operations, user experience analysis and delivery of the Commission's UX Strategy. Lead the delivery of the Commission's Education Strategy which includes delivery of its online learning resources. Lead the Commission's strategic integrated communications across media relations, online and web services, social media, internal communications, stakeholder engagement (including with CALD users and small business) and specialised campaign communications. Represent the Commission and actively build sustainable professional relationships at a senior level with colleagues and stakeholders within the Commission, across Government and external organisations.
