About the role As Chef de Partie, you will be responsible for running your section efficiently, ensuring consistency and excellence in every dish served. You will work closely with the Sous Chef and Executive Chef, supporting daily kitchen operations, maintaining high standards of food preparation, and helping to train and mentor junior team members. The role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive under pressure in a busy hotel environment, while working collaboratively as part of a professional and motivated kitchen team. Core Duties Prepare, cook, and present dishes to the highest standard in your designated section Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment in line with food safety and hygiene regulations Support the wider kitchen team during busy service periods Assist with stock control, ordering, and minimising waste Train, guide, and supervise Commis Chefs and apprentices Collaborate with the team to develop new menu ideas and specials About you Previous experience as a Chef De Partie or above Chef trade qualification (essential) Proven ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment Willingness to work collaboratively with a multicultural diverse team Flexible to work a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays Comprehensive knowledge of kitchen hygiene practices and WH&S standards Demonstrated experience working in a 4- or 5-star hotel Ability to work unrestricted in Australia – full working rights Be able to lift, push and pull large objects up to 50lbs (23 kg), bend and kneel Good reading, writing and basic maths Benefits & Perks Discounted meals and non-alcoholic beverages Supplied meals during allocated rostered shifts Career growth opportunities How to Apply If you have the experience, we'll give you the opportunity.
