The AEC's Property portfolio contains a large and diverse footprint to support a nationally dispersed network and agile workforce, and where the portfolio expands and contracts to meet our operational needs for both long and short-term basis. The Property Management and Facilities section within the Legal Services Branch is responsible for managing agency wide facility management, including ensuring that all property maintenance and facilities issues are rectified in line with contractual arrangements and agency requirements. While National Office is based in Canberra, we have flexible working arrangements and are happy to accept applications from anywhere in Australia. The key duties of the position include We are seeking collaborative, self-motivated and result-driven Senior Facilities Officer to support the Assistant Director, Facilities Management. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, while being part of a team that manages the overall AEC property portfolio. The role is responsible for managing facility management services, including ensuring that all property maintenance and facilities issues are rectified in line with contractual arrangements and agency requirements. You will assist with maintaining the integrity and functionality of the property portfolio by arranging necessary works and repairs through AEC's property service provider Ventia. In this role you will provide analysis on moderately complex issues and contribute to the change management of internal policies, processes and project management activities relating to property management and facilities, while providing accurate advice, guidance and reporting on team functional responsibilities. You will supervise a small team to ensure high quality outputs, including the development of team members at lower classifications, building team capability and encouraging career development. Develop and support key internal and external relationships, including managing stakeholders to achieve work area and agency goals. In addition, represent the agency by promoting its interests in various forums. In this role you communicate and make decisions using good judgement, expertise and knowledge, governed by legislation, regulations, best practice principles or relevant operating instructions and procedures. You will be contributing to doctrine, election preparation and delivery activities in accordance with the election readiness framework, according to individual accountabilities and responsibilities. Note this is an in office role based in Canberra.
