There are 450 inpatient beds and almost 3,000 staff. Each year this hospital cares for more than 64,000 patients in the Emergency Department. The hospital is affiliated with various Universities and premier medical teaching facilities enabling you to provide excellence in healthcare in conjunction with a commitment to quality clinical teaching and leading medical research. The Emergency Department is a 24-hour emergency service that cares for adults over 16 years of age. Senior Resident Medical Officers (SRMO) in the Emergency Department will provide clinical care, under appropriate supervision, to patients requiring emergency medical services in a complex clinical environment.
