Job Description About the Role This role presents a strong opportunity for the right candidate to develop a significant and specialised teaching portfolio in the field of Social Work. This is a teaching-focused role which will allow you to build and apply your teaching expertise and profile. AIPC supports its teaching specialists through funded professional development and through support for scholarly activity including academic research. What we can offer: This is a permanent, full-time position —not a casual or sessional contract. With six months’ probation leading to ongoing employment, it offers the stability to support long-term goals like home ownership or career planning. It’s an ideal role for new academics/academics or pracademics seeking to transition from sessional teaching or professional practice into a stable academic pathway with long-term career prospects. Key Responsibilities: Develop and conduct lectures and tutorials. Develop study materials including study guides, online lectures, and materials for assigned subjects in accordance with approved subject outlines. Provide study assistance to students in the following modes: face-to-face, over the phone, or via email. Encourage the engagement of students in their studies. Develop and conduct face-to-face residential school sessions for relevant subjects, including assessing students during the residential schools. About you The successful applicant will ideally have: A Social Work (or related field) qualification, Masters level minimum. Demonstrated teaching ability in relevant fields at a tertiary level. Demonstrated experience in the development of subject curricula and teaching materials. Demonstrated ability to coordinate and administer the successful delivery of tertiary subjects. Demonstrated ability to liaise, negotiate and collaborate with both internal and external parties. Applicants need to have or be eligible for AASW membership.
