About the role The Training & Development Lead is responsible for the Learning Management System (LMS) execution and delivery both internally/externally. Including design, development, coordination, of training programs across DroneShield’s product suite. This role is paramount to DroneShield’s global deployment and sustainment strategy, delivered by ensuring consistent and high-quality training outcomes. Responsibilities, Duties and Expectations Lead the development, implementation and execution of DroneShield’s Global Training Strategy aligned to product capability, customer needs, and business objectives. Manage and maintain the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring training modules are of high quality, current, compliant, and accessible. Design, develop, and deliver training packages (online, instructor-led, and blended), including Train-the-Trainer programs. Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, and Field Operations teams to ensure technical accuracy and operational relevance of all training content. Coordinate customer training activities, including scheduling, logistics, documentation, and feedback analysis. Develop and maintain training input and output artefacts such as: lesson plans, student guides, assessments, and certification pathways. Provide input into Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) deliverables, such as Training Needs Analysis and Training Management Plans. Maintain a record of all training activities support for compliance with domestic/international Defence and trade controls regulations. Continuously improve training effectiveness through feedback, evaluation, and engagement with end-users and key stakeholders. Qualifications, Experience and Skills Minimum 5 years of experience in a training or instructional design role, preferably within defence, technology, or high-compliance environments Proven experience in designing and delivering technical and product-based training programs Experience in managing or administering an LMS platform Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or equivalent is highly desirable Understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design, and training evaluation methodologies Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong stakeholder engagement Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required Ability to obtain an Australian NV-1 security clearance and ability to access/handle Export Controlled technology, data and information Note for recruitment agencies: We do not accept unsolicited candidates from external recruiters unless specifically instructed.
