About the role Mater Occupational Therapy department are looking for an Occupational Therapist to join the team on a Permanent Part-time basis working 15 hours per week located at our South Brisbane campus. The Occupational Therapy department at Mater Health provides public and private health services across a range of clinical specialties. These include general medical, general surgical, orthopaedics, neurosciences, cancer care, rehabilitation, lymphoedema, psychosocial/mental health and neonatology and paediatrics. The team encompasses both Occupational Therapists and Occupational Therapy Assistants and deliver services within inpatient, outpatient and telehealth settings. Salary range: $39.86 - $58.59 per hour plus 12% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 access to many staff benefits! What you’ll be doing Independently undertake routine clinical practice within established clinical protocols to achieve patient focussed outcomes Apply increasing clinical judgement to more complex cases under clinical practice supervision Contribute to the development of clinical practices, procedures and protocols within professional and multidisciplinary teams Identify, develop and participate in quality and service improvement activities to continually improve clinical services and patient outcomes Actively participate in professional and multidisciplinary teams, and liaise with patients, their families/carers and external agencies to facilitate patient centred care Participate in continuing professional development activities to further develop clinical practice and expertise About you Bachelor of Occupational Therapy or Master of Occupational Therapy Eligible for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Eligibility to receive a Medicare provider number Demonstrated knowledge, expertise and skill in delivering assessment and intervention in a day therapy rehabilitation setting within the area of occupational therapy Demonstrated ability to apply occupational therapy principles to occupational therapy clinical services in a day therapy rehabilitation environment Why join us?
