Your role at St John of God Accord We are looking for a dedicated Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner (Grade 1 or 2) to join our community disability team on an up to permanent, full-time basis, part-time considered with a minimum of 0.6 FTE. The Position Delivering direct, evidence-based occupational therapy services to individuals or groups, primarily in community settings for NDIS participants. Conducting thorough assessments encompassing Functional Behaviour Assessment’s personal care, domestic and community Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), home environments, and physical capacity. Developing and implementing comprehensive behaviour support plans, ensuring appropriate progression towards people’s goals. Coordinating the provision of specialised supports and equipment to optimise peoples’ outcomes. Providing consultation and support as part of a multidisciplinary allied health team. Ensuring all practice adheres to the relevant legislation, Code of Ethics and St John of God Health Care policies and guidelines. We are seeking a qualified and motivated Positive Behaviour Support practitioner who A tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Education, or a related discipline (associated specialty registrations such as AHPRA/eligibility for registration with AASW will be required). You will be suitability to be registered by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission as a Behaviour Support Practitioner (Core level minimum) and Demonstrate understanding of the principles of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and person-centred practice. The ideal candidate will have over 2 years’ experience and tertiary level qualifications Strong verbal and written communication abilities are essential, along with the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a dynamic team, will be essential to this role. Successful applicants must hold a NDIS Screening Number, Victoria Drivers License and current First Aid certificate.
