About the Role Reporting to the Workshop Manager, the Engineering Clerk will provide administrative and procurement support to our workshop teams to ensure the effective maintenance of our bus fleet. The position will also assist other managers when required, coordinate refreshments for meetings, training, and events, and contribute to the smooth running of our depots. You will be based at Edgeworth with regular travel to various CDC NSW workshops, therefore flexibility to travel across sites is essential. Key Responsibilities · Generate purchase requisitions for materials and services · Issue approved purchase orders to suppliers and service providers · Expedite outstanding orders to ensure timely delivery · Prepare workshop KPI scorecards and maintain accurate records · Coordinate inspections and maintenance of workshop plant and equipment to meet compliance requirements · Participate in internal and external audits · Assist with day-to-day workshop operations, including roster preparation and communication · Provide operational staff with access to records for investigations and reporting · Assist other managers with administrative support as requested · Coordinate refreshments for meetings, training sessions, and other events · Maintain safety standards, report hazards/incidents, and follow safe work practices · Lift and carry items up to 15 kg safely when required About You · Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills (particularly Excel) · Understanding of procurement processes for materials and services · Experience working in a regulated industry (public transport experience desirable) · Strong organisational skills and attention to detail · Excellent written and verbal communication skills · Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines · Willingness and ability to travel across the Central Coast and Hunter regions · Physically able to lift and carry up to 15 kg safely Why Join CDC NSW? · Work with a supportive and collaborative team · Be part of a business delivering essential community services · Opportunities for training, development, and career growth · Stable and reputable employer in the public transport sector How to Apply If you are organised, detail-focused, and ready to play a key role in keeping our workshops running at their best, we’d love to hear from you.
