Your innovative, collaborative approach to working with families could be the difference in their lives and help improve the developmental trajectory for children in the Brimbank/Melton area. Maximise your impact with targeted early support to help families navigate and access health and social systems, implement strategies to support their child/s' development and upskill care givers to strengthen family functioning. Operational management and clinical supervision are provided, plus professional development support. You will make a difference by Working collaboratively with the Early Help Family Services Team to provide early and timely supports for children and families across Brimbank Melton area in the home, community or on site. Building the capability of parents and educators through coaching, modelling and practical strategy provision to support the child’s development and everyday function. Providing parent group sessions to educate, support and strengthen families and encourage peer support. Participating in case consultation, secondary consultation and liaison with community services / workers (eg childcare/MCHN) Working in partnership with health and social services to develop linkages, navigation and co-ordinated care to improve social determinants of health. To succeed you will need Tertiary qualification and registration in Psychology/Social work/Occupational Therapy with at least 4 years relevant experience working with children aged 0-12 years and their families Experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse families Experience using strength based and trauma informed practice to support family functioning Proven experience in the ability to support the identification, assessment and intervention strategies for infants, children and families with developmental or wellbeing Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team Current and valid Victorian Working with Children’s Check and driver’s licence.
