Responsibilities and duties : Assisting in the creation and implementation of policies related to budgeting and accounting frameworks. Preparing financial statements for review by boards of directors, executive management, shareholders, and regulatory bodies. Performing financial reviews and audits, drafting comprehensive reports, and advising on key financial decisions, including business acquisitions, mergers, financing options, fraud investigations, insolvency matters, and tax planning. Reviewing operational expenses alongside revenue and expenditures to analyse organisational financial performance. Ensuring the accuracy and statutory compliance of data presented in financial statements Advising on financial strategies, tax implications, and business structuring to support operational goals. Completing tax returns for both individuals and corporate entities. Working with banks and financial intermediaries to establish and manage funding and investment arrangements. Setting up and maintaining accounting systems, including recommendations for computer-based accounting solutions. Overseeing internal control measures to safeguard financial integrity. Conducting assessments of cash flow and evaluating financial risks associated with capital investments when required. Applicants are required to hold at least a Bachelor in Accounting (Masters in Accounting preferred). Skills : At least one year experience in a similar role is ideal High level attention to detail, friendly and professional phone manner, and strong organisational and prioritisation skills Demonstrated skills and experience in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word and Excel), including intermediate excel skills (as a minimum) Strong communication skills to maintain positive working relationships with a variety of stakeholders Proven ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, and to prioritise conflicting tasks through effective time management.
