A Southern TAS hospital requires a Registrar/PHO in Internal Medicine from 18/08/2025 to 01/02/2026. POSITION DESCRIPTION The Department of General Medicine at the RHH covers day wards in teams, admissions role, nights and evenings. Day teams consist of a consultant, 1-2 registrars and 1-2 interns. Teams manage an average of 15 – 20 inpatients a day with an approximate 15 to 20 admissions a day through the Emergency Department. Team 3A is the Rapid assessment medical Unit (RAMU) for medical short-stay (up to 72 hours) inpatient unit. The medical staff are responsible for admitting (assessment and management) patients to General Medicine and for the management of deteriorating patients on the wards (medical and surgical).
