THE ROLE - TRANSPORT SUPERVISOR Due to internal movement, we are now seeking an excellent Transport Supervisor to join their operations to undertake a range of transport activities across the state. These activities will include but not be limited to: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Lead, supervise, and support a team of 3-5 truck drivers. Conduct daily driver briefings and debriefings. Monitor driver performance, attendance, and compliance. Create and manage daily transport schedules and delivery runs. Ensure efficient allocation of drivers and vehicles to meet operational needs. Monitor traffic, weather, and road conditions to adjust plans as necessary. Ensure all transport activities comply with Chain of Responsibility (CoR), fatigue management, and NHVR regulations. Maintain driver records including licences, medicals, and training compliance. Conduct regular vehicle checks and ensure pre-starts are completed. Oversee maintenance scheduling and service records for the fleet. Report and follow up on vehicle faults, defects, and breakdowns. Coordinate repairs, servicing, and vehicle replacements with MMQ Maintenance & external providers. Drive company vehicles as required, especially during peak times or to assist with workload. Cover any driver shift in the event of absenteeism, including early starts, late finishes, or weekend work, as required. ESSENTIAL SKILLS Demonstrated experience in industry or a similar role Transport Supervisor Experience Sound knowledge of defined state specific suburbs, demonstrating the ability to manage allocation and a solid understanding of FMS (Freight Management Systems) and routing software Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships Demonstrated experience in improving engagement levels demonstrating a good cultural fit with team, and customers. Demonstrated ability to respond in a rapidly evolving and pressured environment Ability to work co-operatively and effectively within the team and the organisation Ability to manage multiple tasks with conflicting demands simultaneously, solve problems, manage and meet deadlines and maintain a high quality of work Excellent written and verbal communications skills Strong customer experience focus and diplomacy in dealing with sensitive situations Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
