We offer education programs in midwifery and nursing that foster lifelong learning including undergraduate, postgraduate, research higher degrees and continuing professional development programs. Our goal is to improve community health and wellbeing locally, nationally and internationally, by producing outstanding graduates, and research outcomes, that set best practice in the disciplines of midwifery and nursing. The School is recognised nationally and internationally for its research. It is also home to two highly regarded research centres. The Judith Lumley Centre and the Australian Institute of Primary Care and Ageing play a strong role in our research success and impact. The School is seeking a Level B academic with expertise in contemporary midwifery practice and facilitating undergraduate and postgraduate education. The successful candidate will be expected to make a significant contribution to the research reputation of the midwifery discipline in the School, meaningfully engage with local hospital partners, and undertake research resulting in publications with leading publishers in the field. Skills and Experience To be considered for this position, you will have: PhD or equivalent accreditation and standing recognised by the University/profession as appropriate for the relevant discipline areas. Registered or eligible to register as a Registered Midwife with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Demonstrated competence in teaching and curriculum development. Evidence of high quality and/or high impact research conducted and published or otherwise disseminated, relative to opportunity.
