About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Crew Leader/ Cable Layer to join our dynamic team in Perth. In this role, you will be primarily working on projects for our esteemed client, Western Power. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation of underground cables and associated equipment. Key Responsibilities: Install underground electrical cables and associated equipment for Western Power projects . Operate cable-laying equipment safely and effectively . Conduct site inspections and assessments to determine work requirements . Adhere to all safety protocols and industry standards . Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to complete projects on time . Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly . Maintain accurate records of work performed . Skills and Tasks: Proven experience in cable laying . Relevant certifications and qualifications in cable installation . Proven experience in operating plant and equipment, including the installation of cabling and associated gear, as well as the reinstatement of disturbed areas . Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices . Ability to read and interpret power drawings and schematics . Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail . Effective communication and teamwork abilities . Physical fitness and ability to work in various environmental conditions . Must-Haves: Driver ’ s L icense (HR desirable). Construction W hite C ard . Western Power Cable Laying Ticket . Network Authority Card . Other Western Power S pecific I nductions and Q ualifications (example Recipient in Charge RIC, Substation Entry etc desirable).
