We're looking for experienced individuals to join our team in Forrestdale. Available positions include: Mechanical Engineering Technician / Fitter Mechanical Design Engineer Welder / Metal Fabricator Diesel Motor Mechanic Motor Mechanic Vehicle Painter/Finisher Auto Electrician Mechanical Engineering Draftsperson The successful applicants will have at least 2 years' experience working in similar role. Duties for the Mechanical Engineering Technician / Fitter role include : Assisting the Engineers with preparing drawings, computer generated plans for fitting work Read and work according to the drawing to determine the correct materials and machine components Inspecting the finished work and maintenance of components and parts Cost estimation as per the machine requirements Service and certification of knuckle boom cranes. Installation of cranes and associated hardware, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic. Manage certification systems and compliance of crane activities. We're looking for someone who is motivated, self-driven, has an interest in mechanical systems, and has experience working autonomously or as part of a team. A salary of $76,515 - $110,000 will be offered to the successful applicant for this role. Duties for the Mechanical Design Engineer role include : Create and develop precise 2D and 3D mechanical drawings and models using AutoCAD and SolidWorks. Interpret engineering specifications, technical standards, and documentation to produce accurate designs. Ensure all designs comply with relevant codes, including AS/NZS 1554.1 and ISO 9606-1. Conduct detailed drafting to ensure correct tolerances, fit, and alignment. Provide technical support to production and manufacturing teams, supplying updated drawings, specifications, and clarifications during fabrication. Conduct welding inspections, prepare welding analysis reports, and oversee welder qualification testing in line with ISO 9606-1. Qualify welding procedures in compliance with AS/NZS 1554.1. Analyse manufacturing processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Manage and maintain technical documentation with proper version control and full traceability. Applicants will have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent and at least 2 years' relevant industry experience in mechanical design, manufacturing support, and welding compliance. A Certification in welding inspection and qualification testing is highly regarded. A salary of $78,000 - $85,000 will be offered to the successful candidate. Duties for the Welder/Metal Fabricator role include : Fabricate from workshop drawings Assist with all the fabrication and welding processes in accordance with project requirements Cut, shape, assemble and weld steel to construct and repair metal products and structures Study specifications and drawings to determine suitable material, method and sequence of operations, and machine settings Maintain workshop tools A salary of $76,515 - $80,000 will be offered to the successful applicant for this role. Diesel Motor Mechanics and Motor Mechanics Will be responsible for testing and repairing motor vehicles and diesel motors of heavy vehicles. This includes diagnosing faults, replacing parts, reassembling parts, and performing scheduled maintenance services. A salary of $76,515 - $80,000 will be offered to the successful applicants. Duties for the Vehicle Painter/Finisher role include : Liaise with workshop supervisor that all installation works are completed prior to painting Liaise with workshop supervisor regarding painting requirements for each job Prepare surfaces and paint in accordance with guidelines prepared by management Check job cards for special instructions and prepare and paint accordingly Keep accurate time records using the App including start time, logging out at the correct finish time and ensuring time is recorded on the correct jobs Keep the paint materials in an orderly and safe manner Keep the paint booths clean - daily sweep out and weekly wash out and regular cleaning of lights Applicants for the Painter/Finisher role must also hold a relevant trade certificate, as well as 2 years' experience. Auto Electrician and Mechanical Engineering Draftsperson Auto Electricians will be responsible for maintaining and installing motor vehicle electrical components. Mechanical Engineering Draftspersons will be responsible for working with Mechanical Engineers and other staff by preparing mechanical engineering plans and drawings. Applicants for these roles must display at least 2 years' experience in the role they're applying for, and hold a relevant qualification.
