Express Employment is working with a renowned company who are currently seeking Experienced Groundskeepers/Horticulturalists based at Rookwood Cemetery. This is ongoing temporary employment with the potential for permanent employment for the right candidate. Hours of work: Monday - Friday 6am - 2pm potential overtime when required Pay Rate: $48.16/hour Super Duties include: Assisting in the routine maintenance across various sites including: Garden maintenance work including but not limited to operating various mowers, weeding, pruning, digging, mulching, planting, brush cutting and laying turf Sweeping and cleaning areas including gutters and drains, and performing garbage service Preparing new grave sites for turf and maintaining grave areas and attending to grave sites and services as required Operating grave equipment which may include setting up tents, boards, lowering and raising devices Identifying plants, pests, diseases and implementing controls Conducting chemical spraying in accordance with provided training Use and perform routine maintenance on hand tools, motor mowers and edgers Cleaning of Crematorium, all Chapels, all Public Amenities and other areas as directed Attend funeral services at pre-prepared graves About You! Must hold a valid White Card Must have a valid Driver Licence and own transport AQF3 Certificate in Chemical Training (ChemCert) or similar is a must! Recent experience as a Horticulturalist/Groundskeeper Must be a Permanent Resident or Australian Citizen Physically fit, as you will be operating various equipment such as mowers, edgers and manual handling of items Must be able to pass a medical and police check What's on Offer?
