We are seeking a Head/Senior and or Performance coach to join POWA Tennis, operating out of the largest and most progressive clubs in the district. Fantastic brand new facilities, automated access LED lighting, easily accessible venue, full clubhouse/kitchen/pro shop. Across both venues (few mins drive between) there are 11 synthetic grass, 3 en tout cas/clay, 4 pickleball and 6 squash courts with reception and upstairs lounge. The hours currently required are mainly Mon-Fri, possibly Sunday (and this could be part time or full time depending on right candidate). We try to keep a close knit team that works over multiple days together to create a familiar environment for everyone on site. Position available for immediate start in Term 3 2024, April school holiday work avail if wish. Our mission is “Make it Possible!”. You will also find the coaching more interesting and rewarding as you will be involved with the development of players in a holistic standpoint. We are one of the most innovative tennis coaching businesses in the country, currently one of the few official providers of Blind Tennis in the State. Founder, Stefan Woolley also is an advocate and runs programs for the LGBTQIA and Neurodivergent communities. Programs for all abilities and ages (Hot Shots, Cardio, Privates, Squads, Adults). We also hone in on a speciality area of performance athletes, where we take players on in a more full time basis, design their whole week and train them over variety of sessions like private lessons and squads. If you are interested and a suitable coach for this, you will have the opportunity to take on some elite aspiring professional tennis players. We have many players now who have successfully gone through our program to sign at U.S Colleges or compete in the ITF Junior/ITF Circuit. We also run a Pro Shop and are ideally looking for someone who can string racquets and or happy to learn, which will be bonus income. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Expected to be able to deliver all types of programs Arrive early to set equipment up and connect with coaches Actively promote and grow participation numbers Be able to coach independently with own plan QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: Tennis Australia Coach Member (or equivalent) or willing to be one Tennis Coaching experience High level playing standard – or ex WTA/ATP Player Formal qualifications not a must, however preferred. We are happy to pay for you to do these.
