Huon is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Fish Production Technical Officer to support the delivery of fish performance and health improvement initiatives across our freshwater and marine sites. This hands-on role is vital to ensuring operational excellence through practical support, accurate record keeping, and effective coordination. The role Working closely with farm managers, technical teams, and external partners, this role will help drive continuous improvement and contribute directly to Huon’s fish production objectives. Responsibilities include: Coordinating fish production activities and projects, ensuring tasks are scheduled, tracked, and delivered on time and within budget Building strong relationships and maintaining clear and timely communication with internal teams, suppliers and external stakeholders Keeping accurate records of meetings, logs and basic data to support reporting and analysis, providing regular updates to management on project status, productivity and potential risks Ensuring compliance with biosecurity, environmental and animal welfare regulations Attending farm sites to support operational activities, field days, and trials, including data collection and practical tasks This is a fulltime opportunity based in our Hobart Office with regular travel to sites required.
