We have a rare opportunity for a Shift Team Leader to join our collaborative and supportive team at our Derrimut manufacturing facility. You will be a hands-on leader, where you are responsible for managing the shift-to-shift operations and performance of the factory, with a small team. You will ensure the safe and efficient operation of our extrusion lines and production areas, achieving quality outputs and products that meet all standards and customer expectations. What will you do? Work a 8 hour rotating shift-based roster (day/afternoon/night) – (6am to 2pm, 2pm to 10pm and 10pm to 6am). Lead and develop the health and safety culture for the team Provide leadership and supervision for the team on shift Engage and motivate the team and work with them to solve issues Provide support to operators and play a key role in their learning, development, competency and experience in daily operations, continuous improvement, safety and quality practices and effective teamwork About you 3-5 years demonstrated leadership experience and proven shift management of small/medium sized teams in Plastics/FMCG/continuous batch manufacturing/heavy industrial operations. Mechanical aptitude who enjoys working hands on whilst leading and mentoring a team. Ability to set and align balanced operational priorities with the emphasis on safety, quality, efficiency, throughput, proactive reporting, and a continuous improvement mindset. Demonstrated experience using computer systems, specifically MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and SAP (advantageous) Effective communication across workplace and workforce diversity. Excellent time management, sense of urgency, problem solving skills and results focused to meet daily production KPI’s and targets. Demonstrated collaborative style and cross functional engagement. You have a can-do attitude, are flexible, adaptable and want to jump onboard to help us continue to grow our manufacturing capability.
