The Opportunity We are looking for a dedicated Environmental Officer to join our team at Harvey, WA. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape and influence environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives while contributing to the growth of Harvey Beef’s operations. As an Environmental Officer, you will oversee environmental policies, audits, and projects while ensuring the site meets or exceeds all legislative and regulatory standards. You’ll work closely with various departments to maintain compliance and develop sustainability initiatives that align with Harvey Beef’s long-term goals. The Role Conducting and overseeing external and internal environmental audits. Assisting in setting site environmental policies, procedures, and objectives. Conducting field testing and sampling as required. Ensuring the site meets or exceeds all Environmental legislative and regulatory standards and conditions Reporting and monitoring environmental performance, including National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting (NGER) and National Pollutant Inventory (NPI). Submitting environmental reports and managing the Harvey Beef Environmental License. Acting as the subject matter expert on the site’s waste stream treatment processes. Participating in the development of sustainability-focused site projects. Overseeing, updating and maintain all aspects of the Harvey Beef Environmental license Required Skills and Qualifications We are looking for a motivated and experienced professional with: Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science or a related field (Bachelor’s degree, TAFE certificate, diploma, or equivalent). Previous experience in environmental monitoring, recording, and field sampling. Strong knowledge of environmental reporting and compliance requirements. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. What’s in it for you?
