The role APRA is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Analyst to join the Cybersecurity Operations team. This is a mission-critical role where your expertise directly contributes to protecting Australia’s financial system from evolving cyber threats. Key responsibilities Proactively conduct threat hunting activities to identify and mitigate potential threats before they materialise. Translate findings into actionable remediation strategies to reduce organizational cybersecurity risk ; Ensure readiness through regular tabletops, playbooks, and continuous improvement initiatives ; and Conduct threat hunting activity, Incident response and investigations end-to-end. If the need arises, contribution to ensuring an effective 24-hour incident response capability. About you Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to wide audiences ; Proven experience in cybersecurity analysis; Threat informed defence, Mitre frameworks ; DevSecOps and Zero-trust methodologies ; Intrusion and detection engineering, web application security ; Experience with bug bounty programmes ; Cloud based Microsoft Security Products ; SIEM, UEBA, DLP, and related experience ; Essential 8\: (ML1, ML2, ML3) ; Experience in Australian Federal government is an advantage (PSPF) ; Practical certifications such as SOC-200, OSCP, HTB CTFS are an advantage ; and Tertiary qualifications in cyber, analysis, or engineering disciplines are an advantage To work with us, you need to be an Australian citizen with eligibility to gain an NV1 Security clearance.
