About the Role This is a 2-year fixed-term position of leadership that comes with a time allowance (calculated based on the number of full-time staff in the Faculty) to enable you to focus on leading effectively while maintaining a meaningful classroom load. You will report directly to the Deputy Head of Senior School – Teaching & Learning and work closely with the Deputy Principal & Head of Senior School , Deputy Heads of Senior School , and other Heads of Faculty . As Head of Humanities, you will: Provide leadership and direction for the Faculty, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning. Establish and review curriculum, policies, and practices to maintain the school’s leading reputation. Lead, mentor, and support faculty members in their professional growth. Oversee assessment processes, data analysis, and student performance improvement strategies. Teach Humanities (History), with the ability to teach VCE History Revolutions highly regarded. Skills and Requirements Proven experience in educational leadership with the ability to inspire and guide colleagues. Strong classroom practice informed by current educational research. Current VIT registration. Ability to manage budgets, interpret data, and lead professional learning. High-level communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills. Requirements Registration: Candidates must hold current VIT registration. Work Rights: Full working rights in Australia are essential for this role.
