The Role: A leading provider of managed IT Services & Consulting for small to mid-sized businesses is seeking a highly skilled Senior Network/Systems Engineer to join their team on the NSW Central Coast (Gosford). This role blends technical leadership with client-focused consulting, designing and supporting secure, scalable infrastructure for a varied SMB client base. Key Responsibilities: Lead the design and deployment of LAN/WAN/WLAN networks. Configure and maintain servers, routers, switches, firewalls, and cloud platforms. Implement cybersecurity measures and disaster recovery strategies. Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues (Tier 3). Automate workflows and optimise system performance. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing. Work with consulting and sales teams to deliver tailored solutions. Skills and Experience: Degree in Computer Science, IT, Network Engineering, or equivalent experience. 5 years in network and systems engineering, ideally within an MSP. Expertise in TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VPNs, and QoS. Proficiency in Microsoft Azure, Office 365, VMware, and Hyper-V. Scripting and automation skills (PowerShell, Python). Knowledge of cybersecurity tools and frameworks. Strong communication and documentation skills. Certifications such as CCNP, Azure Administrator, or Fortinet NSE are valued. Why This Role?
