We are seeking a highly skilled professional to manage and lead the Immunopathology (Autoimmune and Immunochemistry) Laboratory of a Government Health Service in Canberra, overseeing operations, staff, and service delivery. Our client provides 24/7 diagnostic and consultative services across hospital setting. Within this service, the Immunopathology unit specialises in autoantibody screening and characterisation, allergy testing, serum protein analysis, and CSF oligoclonal band detection. RESPONSIBILITIES COULD INCLUDE: Be responsible for the day-to-day supervision and operation of the Immunology subsections (Autoimmune and Immunochemistry) subsection providing leadership in strategic planning and optimal operational management. Undertake verification studies and implement new assays into the laboratory Performing complex testing, Conducting, interpreting, and troubleshooting immunoassays using techniques such as indirect immunofluorescence, ELISA, chemiluminescence, protein electrophoresis, and immunoblot. Reviewing and verifying immunopathology results, assessing external quality reports, and contributing to laboratory accreditation processes. Supervising, mentoring, and providing training to team members within the immunopathology department.
