About the Role: We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Drainer to join our civil construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing drainage systems in line with project specifications and safety regulations. You will work closely with site supervisors, machine operators, and other crew members to ensure drainage works are completed efficiently, accurately, and to the highest standard. Key Duties & Responsibilities: Read and interpret site plans, drainage layouts, and engineering drawings. Install stormwater, sewer, and subsoil drainage systems to specification. Set out and prepare trenches, ensuring correct line, level, and grade. Operate small plant and hand tools required for drainage works. Supervise and assist in excavation works to prevent damage to existing services. Ensure correct compaction and backfilling of trenches. Conduct quality checks to ensure compliance with relevant standards and project requirements. Follow all workplace health and safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE at all times. Work collaboratively with the team to meet deadlines and maintain productivity targets. Requirements: Relevant qualifications At least 2-3 years' proven experience as a Drainer in civil construction Ability to read and interpret site plans and specifications Ability to measure, set out, and achieve accurate drainage levels. Knowledge of relevant standards, codes, and best practices in drainage works.
