Full Job Description Position: Mechanic Tradesperson Location: Newcastle Start: Immediate Newcastle Full time hours $49.57 per hour Super Our government client is seeking a trade qualified Mechanical Tradesperson for an immediate start at their Waratah Works Centre. The primary purpose of the role is to carry out maintenance and repairs on a range of plant items, vehicles and mechanical equipment. The working hours are 6am - 4pm, Mon-Fri (9-day fortnight). The essential requirements for this role are: Trade qualification as an Automotive Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or equivalent HR Truck Licence preferred HVAIS accreditation an advantage General Construction Industry White Card Ability to understand and follow instructions and work procedures Ability to communicate effectively Ability to work effectively and co-operatively in a team environment Ability to take responsibility for personal safety and safety of others in the workplace.
