Senior Manager Home Lending Operations As Senior Manager, Home Lending Operations, you are the business owner of the Bank’s Home Lending post-origination value chain—including application preparation, credit assessment, settlement, and post-fulfilment servicing. You hold ultimate accountability for delivering seamless, efficient, and customer-led operations that are a cornerstone of the Bank’s brand promise: to help all Australians own their own home. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible not just for operational performance but also for shaping how the Bank delivers on its customer and broker experience promises in-market. Your work directly influences customer satisfaction, broker advocacy, and the Bank’s competitive standing, ensuring that every operational touchpoint reflects the Bank’s values and ambition This role balances day-to-day operational performance with future-state design, process transformation, automation, and the adoption of best practices across the credit assessment and settlement value chain. You’ll make an impact by: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team responsible for home loan processing, including application preparation, credit assessment, approval, settlement, and post-fulfilment servicing. Build a strong culture of accountability, empowerment, customer obsession, and operational excellence. Drive workforce planning, talent development, and succession to ensure sustainable capability uplift. Manage operational budgets to ensure efficient resource allocation, cost control, and delivery of value-aligned outcomes. End-to-end ownership of the post-origination Home Lending process ensuring efficiency, scalability, and exceptional customer and broker experience, with direct accountability for the performance of On-Day-Settlements and Time-To-Yes. Act as the enterprise process and experience owner for the entire Home Lending operational journey—from post-origination to settlement and servicing—ensuring all customer and broker touchpoints reflect the Bank’s market promise. Do things differently with us To succeed in this role, you will have: Proven senior leadership experience (10 years) in home lending within banking or financial services. Extensive expertise in Australian home lending products, operating models, and regulatory frameworks, with the ability to translate complex policy and compliance requirements into practical, scalable operational solutions Strategic thinker with a strong track record in driving operational transformation, process simplification, capability uplift, and the delivery of scalable, resilient operational models. Advanced risk management acumen with demonstrated success in identifying, mitigating, and managing operational, regulatory, and compliance risks in complex and tightly governed environments. Proven stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to shape and align outcomes across Product, Distribution, Sales, Credit Risk, Technology, and key external partners.
