As an Associate Performance Director, you'll play a pivotal role in leading our SEM strategies, overseeing campaign execution, and ensuring our clients achieve their performance objectives. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership & Planning: Develop and lead comprehensive paid search strategies across multiple clients, aligning with overall business objectives and marketing goals. Provide senior-level strategic guidance on campaign structure, targeting, bidding, and optimisation. Team Leadership & Mentorship: Guide, mentor, and develop a team of Performance Managers and Executives. Foster a culture of continuous learning, excellence, and innovation within the SEM team. Campaign Oversight & Optimisation: Oversee the end-to-end management of complex SEM campaigns across Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising, and other relevant platforms. Ensure best practices are applied, performance targets are met, and campaigns are continuously optimised for maximum efficiency and ROI. Performance Analysis & Reporting: Drive advanced analysis of campaign performance, identifying key insights, trends, and opportunities. Present clear, compelling reports and strategic recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders, articulating complex data into actionable strategies. Client Relationship Management: Act as a senior point of contact for key clients, building strong relationships and instilling confidence in our paid search capabilities. Effectively communicate strategies, performance, and future opportunities. Innovation & Industry Leadership: Stay at the forefront of SEM trends, platform updates, and industry changes. Evaluate and recommend new tools, technologies, and innovative approaches to enhance our paid search offerings and maintain our competitive edge. Budget Management: Oversee and manage significant client paid search budgets, ensuring optimal allocation and return on investment across the portfolio. Required Experience & Skills: Minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience managing and optimising large-scale, complex paid search campaigns, with a significant portion gained within a media advertising agency environment . Proven track record of driving significant ROI and achieving aggressive performance targets across diverse client industries. Demonstrable leadership experience , including mentoring, managing, or leading a team of paid search specialists. Deep expertise in all facets of Google Ads (Search, Shopping, Display, Video, Performance Max) and Microsoft Advertising. Advanced proficiency in Google Analytics (GA4 experience essential) and other web analytics platforms, with strong data visualisation skills. Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, identify strategic insights, and translate them into clear, actionable plans. Expert understanding of key SEM metrics (ROAS, CPA, CPC, CTR, Impression Share, Quality Score etc.) and attribution models. Experience with advanced bid management platforms (e.g., SA360, Kenshoo, Marin) is highly advantageous. Excellent communication, presentation, and client-facing skills , with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and persuasively to senior stakeholders.
