Overview About the Role: We are seeking a skilled and visionary Head of Risk - Enterprise & General Insurance to support our Gallagher Bassett’s (GB) national General Insurance division, as well as well as leading Enterprise Risk activities. This pivotal role will be responsible for developing and implementing risk management strategies that align with our business objectives and support our clients' needs. The successful candidate will play a key role in enhancing our risk management framework, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and driving strategic initiatives to mitigate risks across the organization. How You'll Make An Impact Key accountabilities include: Driving the program of work to continuously improve the risk management strategy; Advancing the development, implementation, maintenance of risk and compliance methodologies, policies and procedures, including enterprise wide and divisional risk profiles; Chairing the Risk Management Committee and presenting at the Compliance and Audit Committee Collaborating with business leaders in developing audit plans, reporting and presenting to management and governing bodies, apply and implement controls to ensure legislation, regulation and contractual compliance requirements are met; Developing and overseeing, risk and compliance frameworks including delivery of audit activity, reporting to regulatory bodies (including ASIC) track and report on progress of the business performance against agreed audit action plans / risk management strategies and improvement opportunities, risk profiling, development of risk appetite metrics and reporting, oversight of external audits and incidents/complaints, assessing potential fraud risks and develop fraud protection tools. Building strong working relationships as a key liaison with clients, external auditors, senior leadership team and risk governing bodies. Uplift and improve risk maturity across the organization Managing and leading risk, audit and compliance activities for GB’s general insurance portfolio. About You What are we looking for? The ideal candidate will have extensive working knowledge of risk management, compliance practices and/or audit practices in a senior risk role, preferably in general Insurance.
