Strategic intelligence analysts in Strategic Analysis & Outreach Branch make a leading contribution to the planning, development and production of intelligence outcomes through strategic intelligence products. Focused on the production of value-added intelligence product as a result of the collection, evaluation and analysis of information, strategic intelligence analysts work closely with other intelligence professionals to drive strategic intelligence outputs designed to harden the environment against serious and organised crime threats and produce unique criminal intelligence advice to a range of partners. Ability to solve complex problems, makes assessments and derives unique judgments. Has excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts in a clear and accessible manner to a range of stakeholders. Ability to contribute to strategic thinking and maintain a high-level awareness of the serious and organised crime environment to identify priorities, including new and emerging threats and nationally-significant criminal activity.
