About: A high-growth firm in Melbourne is looking to establish a branch in Canberra, ACT and seeks the experience and commercial acumen of a Senior Solicitor to help them establish and grow their practice. You’ll be working predominantly at the Melbourne office, but be expected to travel to the Canberra Office once a month. Travel and accommodation will be covered by the firm This role will also provide the opportunity to take on a leadership role working closely with the Principle and providing support to the Canberra Office Requirements: Minimum 6 Years PQE practising as an Australian Solicitor with experience in in Civil Litigation Excellent communication skills and attention to detail Experience in Business Development & readily ability to manage client expectations Ability to prioritise and manage many files and project deadlines simultaneously. Willing to occasionally travel interstate to help build the practice (travel costs paid for) Responsibilities: 5-6 billable hours per day Liaise with clients, solicitors and barristers, along with Melbourne office staff to help grow the Canberra branch. Establish and maintain client relationships and expectations through regular and effective communication. Prepare court documents, correspondence, and briefs to barristers Arrange meetings and manage your case files with attention to detail Handle matters from start to finish autonomously Provide tailored advice to clients to ensure an optimal outcome.
