Purpose of the role The Manager, Financial Accounting is pivotal in managing the day-to-day provision of financial management services, compliant with the NRFC legislative obligations, including the NRFC Act and PGPA Act. As part of the CFO team, the successful candidate will contribute to the NRFC's monthly and annual financial statements, including preparing high quality and comprehensive reconciliations and workpapers. This role reports into the Associate Director, Finance - Transactions. The key duties of the position include Key Responsibilities • Assist with the NRFC financial accounting and reporting functions, including the NRFC's accounts processing, month end accuracy and year end reporting. • Responsible for CBMS inputs including both monthly and annual reporting, as well as budget rounds. • Assist with annual financial statements and the preparation of working papers for the notes. • Support the preparation of financial management advice, including written advice, to senior managers and other relevant stakeholders, with a strong focus on attention to detail. • Contribute to relevant policies, guidelines and practices, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation. • Support procurement processes and reporting • Preparation of FBT & GST returns • Maintaining professional working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including the Australian National Audit Office and the Department of Finance • Back up for the Accounts Payable Manager • Undertake other duties and projects, as required.
