Description About the Role Ready to take your Occupational Therapy career somewhere extraordinary? In this unique role, you’ll support adults with low or no vision to live their most independent, fulfilling lives—combining your professional expertise with the excitement of travel. You’ll deliver life-changing interventions, from functional and clinical assessments to prescribing specialised assistive technology, creating tailored intervention plans, and equipping individuals with the strategies they need for everyday independence. You’ll also share your knowledge with external organisations, helping raise awareness and build capability in our specialist field. This is no ordinary OT role—you’ll provide hybrid telehealth services to clients in Tasmania, with a trained therapy assistant on-site. Every few months, you’ll fly from Perth to Tasmania for a week of in-person, hands-on therapy in the local community before returning to work with our large, multidisciplinary adult therapy team in Perth. We’ll take care of the details—return flights, accommodation, meal allowance, and a work vehicle while in Tasmania—so you can focus on what you do best: making a real impact. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract, with the potential to become a permanent role for the right candidate. Salary Range: $85,681.35-$103,884.36 depending on experience. Key responsibilities: Deliver person-centred clinical assessments of functional independence, including the development, implementation, management, and evaluation of individual service plans. This includes prescribing and recommending specialised assistive technology, equipment, and aids as required. Monitor and evaluate individualised services and supports to ensure they align with company policies, procedures, quality standards, and contractual obligations. Stay up to date with evidence-based practice and emerging technologies, aids, and equipment relevant to the role. Maintain accurate and timely records, assessments, case plans and service documentation within the Client Management System. Escalate any issues affecting service delivery to the Program Manager promptly. Access and utilise information from the company's Process Mapping System, and contribute to continuous improvement by providing input, feedback and suggestions. Support the broader OT profession through coaching and mentoring students as well as delivering education and training to external organisations and stakeholders. Perform other duties as directed by the Program Manager. Skills And Experiences Skills and experience Essential: Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and full general AHPRA registration. High level of interpersonal skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to implement personal and family-centred practice and interventions Strong administration and organisation skills Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team to achieve positive outcomes Ability to demonstrate a personal commitment to the philosophy, objectives and mission of the organisation Demonstrated innovative approach to service delivery Desirable: Experience in providing Occupational Therapy Service to an adult disability caseload Understanding of funding models, particularly NDIS and My Aged Care Experience working in a community-based OT role Understanding of funding models, specifically the NDIS Required compliance documents: Current National Police Clearance Working with Vulnerable People Check (NDIS Endorsed) Valid Driver's Licence AHPRA Registration Benefits: In return, you will be rewarded with: Up to 3 additional days of paid leave during the year- end holiday season!
