As a Project Manager Minor Works within the Campus Development portfolio, the role is crucial in driving projects from inception to completion. This position requires a combination of technical expertise, leadership, and strategic oversight to deliver small and minor capital works on time, within scope, and on budget. The Project Manager Minor Works will be responsible for managing external contractors, ensuring all project stages—from planning, design, and procurement through to construction and commissioning—are executed efficiently. A key aspect of the role involves proactive risk management, stakeholder engagement, and adherence to compliance and safety standards. The ability to coordinate across multiple internal and external stakeholders is essential. The Project Manager must balance competing priorities, ensuring each project aligns with the University's sustainability commitments, operational objectives, and future-focused Campus Development Plan. Your Key responsibilities will include – Plan, manage and deliver small to medium sized projects within the Minor Works portfolio, including refurbishments, relocations, minor capital works and infrastructure projects ensuring that building and engineering services and related infrastructure technical advice is sought and incorporated. Undertake forward works planning for loose furniture contributing directly to the delivery of the University's sustainability targets. Lead the development of processes, procedures, tools and templates to inform the planning and delivery of projects within the Minor Works portfolio Apply knowledge of construction methods, procurement strategies, and compliance requirements with Building Code of Australia (BCA) and Australian standards.
